Katie is a member of JPT Fitness who joined during lockdown, unsure if outdoor training or even fitness itself would be something she could stick to.
The Challenge
Before joining, Katie didn’t see herself as a typical “gym person.”
She worried about feeling out of place and assumed everyone else would be fitter and more experienced.
On top of that, she struggled with consistency, going through phases of starting exercise routines, only to lose momentum and stop altogether.
Why She Nearly Didn't Start
Like many people, Katie had her doubts.
She wasn’t sure about training outdoors and questioned whether it would suit her.
She also worried about fitting in and whether she’d feel comfortable in a group environment.
The Turning Point
Once she gave it a go, everything changed.
Katie quickly realised that outdoor training was not only manageable, she actually preferred it. The sessions were welcoming, inclusive, and full of people at different levels.
Most importantly, she found a way of exercising that she genuinely enjoyed, which made staying consistent feel natural.
The Results
After 3 years with JPT Fitness, Katie achieved:
Her longest ever period of consistency with exercise
Improved strength and overall fitness
A routine she actually enjoys
A strong social circle and lasting friendships
